14.IX.2005 - Visit from Sobotiste Observatory

We were visited by our colleagues from Sobotiste Observatory within the frame of regional cooperation. We consider such visits as very important events; therefore, our guests got royal treatment.

We were nicely surprised when the budding Slovak astronomer Zuzana Fischerova decided to stay one more day in order to dig into the secrets of CCD photometry. She passed the intensive training programme, supervised by our experienced observers, during the night of 14th/15th September. The next day our research assistants initiated her into the data processing and archivation process. We hope that she will keep her enthusiasm and we expect that she will decide to visit our observatory soon to exploit gained experience.
